LESSON 6

What is prayer? Prayer is talking to God as to a dear friend. Someone has said, "Prayer
is the breath of the soul." As much as we may think of prayer as an emergency telephone
call, it isn't quite like that. There are conditions to answered prayer. May I give you three
simple but important conditions you must put into practice if you want answers to your
prayers? (l) Pray "Thy will be done," (2) Be forgiving to others and forgiven by God,
(3) Accept God's Ten Commandments as the standard of your life. The answer will
come. Be ready to recognize it. It may be "yes," "no," or "wait." But whichever way
it works out, remember this promise: "And we know that all things that happen to us
are working for our good if we love God and are fitting into H is plans." (Romans 8:28,
The Living Bible).

Some people pray often, others rarely, but as Shakespeare said: "At wits end all men pray."

These statements are either TRUE or FALSE. After consulting your Bible for the correct answer,
