Christian Education Building

Southgate has added a new Christian Education Wing which is mostly completed now, with the exception of some interior work. Most of the classrooms are now in use, and the pastor has moved into his office. The kitchen still needs to be completed and there is some finish work to be done, but we're making good use of the building.

The work has been done with volunteer help, and it has been a slow process, as the pictures show. We are very grateful for the help we have had from volunteer groups from several states including Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois, and Ohio.

Below are some pictures which show the various stages of construction and bring us up to May 14, 2003.

This first picture, which was taken in October of 1999, shows the main building in the background, and the early stages of the new construction.

This second picture was taken in June of 1999, and shows a closer view of the construction.

In this next picture, taken in March of 2001, you can see that we built in stages. Here, half of the building is basically finished and in use while the second half is in early stages of construction.

Next we see the building as it looks as of May 14, 2003.
